quotes @smells It's not chain length by links. Bypassing the derailleur and adding two links works for all cage lengths in my experience IF you have checked that your cage length can handle your ratio of biggest to smallest cogs/rings (and that is where you use the formula). If you don't check whether your cage length can handle the ratios you have on the drivetrain there is an increased possibility that something might go wrong.

quotes Gentlemen, if you believe that the photo on the right shows a chain under greater tension than the one on the left (thus the "wrong way round"), please go ahead and continue to enjoy the constant delight of dropped chains. It doesn't matter what it "looks like", your eyes can deceive you. If the derailleur has reached its maximum extension, as PB has suggested, it will be under less tension than that on the left; therefore more likely to drop, and that is the point PB want you to understand. So no, the photos therefore are not the wrong way round. This MTBR thread post about rear cage length is a good place to start to understand if your cage length is correct, and from there there is an alternative method of getting chain length right without using the rear derailleur. It is one I have used for years on both single and twin ring setups and works. http://forums.mtbr.com/2019042-post2.html

quotes Niko, My personal favorite of your recent videos mate; excellent. Gives a real sense of how I see MTB riding here in Japan. You and Momo captured it there.

quotes Um... 3minute gaps. TBH, I didn't think the Red Bull coverage was any better than the freecaster coverage from last year, which is something of a disappointment. However, the chance to see at least some of it live is just fantastic.

quotes Here I am about to get in the shower and go to work....yippee (not). Anyone determined enough to have made it as a rider on the WC circuit should quit complaining and enjoy the chance to spend all day every day riding their bike. Any rider not liking PMB, call me and I'll swap you my life for yours.

quotes @bigdrop44, panzer103. I'll be civil and constructive. There is a link right on this page that says it takes you to a page with links that explains the competition right. If you follow that you will find out. Basically the idea is this. There are a bunch of engineers out there in Wide Web Wonderland; hobby, armchair and pros who may have revolutionary ideas with application in the MTB field but that for any number of reasons, their ideas never leave their head or personal sketch pad/CAD software. If you are such an engineer with an idea, you can submit it into the competition; maybe get it recognized, maybe picked up by the industry and maybe make a name for yourself and get into the world of MTB product design. Sound like you? Then quick, you have less than two days to get it sorted! Now, I'll have a rant. LAWKS A LORDY MY BOTTOM IS ON FIRE, WHAT IS IT ABOUT THE NET THAT MAKES PEOPLE MYOPIC? Thanks, I feel better for that.

quotes Cheers Nico!! Excellent information..... I am running a DHX air on a Bottle Rocket with a U-Turn Domain up front and I have been having trouble getting the feel of the bike just right. My hardtail BFe with a Pike on it just flows over and around everything yet I can't seem to get the Brocket to feel as.... as..... responsive. That has left me thinking "Is it the Geo" or "Is it the suspension platform". I was blowing through the rear end travel on the DHX yet the Domain wasn't using any more than half its 160mm... so I put a super soft spring rate on it yet that hasn't seemed to make much difference and I can see a full overhaul to check out the oil levels coming on in the Spring holiday. As for the DHX playing with the PSI (I am just under 70kg) tends to make it either overly plush with a harsh bottom out or just plain harsh even in the top stroke. I hate throwing money at problems and would always rather try and sort things out myself, yet I am tempted by a Lyrik to go with the DHX... Then again, you rave about the Duralux..... given the price diff (Lyriks are crazy prices right!!!), Mmmm.... a holiday tinkering maybe... Ride on! And Jack Knife turns..... no brake fiddling then, just pick it up and throw it around...??!!

quotes Excellent stuff Nico; your morning looks similar to mine there. Two questions.... What do you two cherry owners make of the RP23 and the Roco? Any significant changes in characteristics? At 1:04, what are your fingers doing on the brakes...anything or nothing? Cheers D

Thank you mate!
Im happy to hear all you great new.
My daughter started 1st grade last year and know how special it is. I too am always busy as the new school year starts. I run my own English school so, my time is balanced very uniquely. I work 2 hours in the morning usually then have 2-4 hours off in the afternoon. This gives me time to edit footage or go for a ride. Then I start teaching from 3-9 or 10 from Monday to Friday. So, weekends are free! yaaaaaaaa!
Why did the BMX DJ track close, thats terrible! Please enjoy Fujimi and will be anticipating the footage, hahahhahhaha
as for your body just please take care and eat lots of sugar it always works, ahahhahah
RidEOn mate!

No problem, mate! Yeah, may as well put it on Yahoo, as I have no complaints about my DHX Air.
